Terms & Agreement

By publishing an alignment, taking an alignment, or otherwise using MatchSoul (the “Service”) you agree to these Terms & Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

MatchSoul is an anonymous, end-to-end encrypted alignment tool. Creators compose questions and tag options; responders answer; both sides see a resonance reading. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

You are solely responsible for everything you write, share, or upload — questions, answers, intros, contact details, passwords, profile bundles, and any link you share or receive. You decide what to disclose and to whom.

Treat the Service like any other public-facing channel. Do not share information whose exposure you are unwilling to tolerate. Some information you share is, by design, visible to anyone who reaches your alignment (e.g. demographics on public alignments, your intro, your contact mode and value once the verdict-gate allows it). You accept full responsibility for these disclosures.

All alignment content and every response are encrypted in your browser before they leave it. The server only stores encrypted text.

All Responses are always server-blind. Every submission is encrypted with a fresh AES key that is then wrapped under the creator's RSA public key. Only the creator's device holds the matching private key. The server, support staff, and any operator with full database access cannot decrypt a response — in any mode, public or private.

Private alignments are fully server-blind.For private links the main alignment blob and the creator's answers are also unreadable by the server: the URL fragment (which browsers never send) carries the keys, and for the "reveal at the end" mode the server only holds half of the answers key (split with the URL fragment).

Public alignments. Discovery requires the server to hold the URL key plus a small set of plaintext fields (gender, age, country, intro) so /find-soulmate can filter and hand the link back. For public alignments creator's answers are stored encrypted along with keys by the server. Choose "Do not reveal" or use a private link if this matters to you.

You are responsible for your own keys. If you lose your local profile and have no backup, your data cannot be recovered — not by us, not by support, not by any operator or anyone.

• No harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, or sexual content involving minors.
• No illegal activity, fraud, impersonation, or attempts to extract another user's personal information.
• No automated scraping, mass-creating accounts or alignments, or attempting to circumvent the rate limits and gates that protect other users.
• No probing or attacking the Service's infrastructure, cryptography, or authentication beyond what is necessary for normal use.

We may remove content, restrict access, or terminate use of the Service for violations, at our sole discretion.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. We do not warrant that any match, response, contact, or outcome you obtain through the Service is genuine, safe, or suitable for any purpose.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MatchSoul, its operators, contributors, and affiliates are NOT LIABLE for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including (without limitation) damages from lost data, lost keys, lost profile bundles, exposed personal information, harmful interactions with other users, or any decisions you make based on a resonance reading or a contact exchange.

You acknowledge that the Service is a communication tool, not a vetting service. We do not verify the identity, intent, age, or character of any user.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MatchSoul, its operators and contributors from any claim, demand, or damage (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of the Service, your interactions with other users, or your violation of these Terms.

The Service does not maintain user accounts. Your identity on the Service is whatever local handle and profile your browser stores. We have no ability to reset, recover, transfer, or re-issue your keys, your owner secret, your published alignments, or any responses you have submitted.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice. We may also change these Terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from or related to the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless local mandatory law provides otherwise. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.

Questions about these Terms can be raised through the project's public repository or whichever support channel the operator publishes. Because the Service does not maintain accounts, support cannot recover lost data or keys.
